Hawaii was one of the first states to legalize medical cannabis, in 2000. Today, finally, the state has approved dispensaries so patients have a way to get the cannabis from a store. But what does the state say about which conditions qualify for a patient to get a “medical cannabis certification”? Big Island pain specialist Dr. Zain Vally tells us about what is known about how cannabis affects the different conditions for which Hawaii says cannabis may be used.
