Pharmaceutical drugs, Puerto Rico, Hurricane Maria–impact on Hawaii Island?

It turns out, there are around 80 pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in Puerto Rico–all of which were closed because of Hurricane Maria in early October, 2017.  That has affected the supply of saline solutions, IV nutrients, and other drugs for our hospitals and ambulances.  We talk with Kona Hospital Pharmacy Director Marilinda Passon, Hilo Medical Center Pharmacy Director Nelson Nako, Dr. Judy Fitzgerald – Medical Director of Hawaii County Fire, and Jay Ignacio, President of HELCO.  Photo is Marilinda Passon.
