Time Warp with Bill St. James

Bill St. James has one of the most familiar and recognizable voices in America. On television, he’s the announcer for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” the worldwide television broadcasts of “The Super Bowl” and “The Olympics,” and the commercial voice of the 2012 Oscar winning Best Picture, “The Artist.” Bill St. James started in radio at the tender age of 16 on WEXT-AM, West Hartford, CT and quickly moved on to WDRC in Hartford while still in high school. By his19th birthday, St. James had caught the ear of major market program directors and was hired at Philadelphia’s WIP, spending the next six year honing his craft on the afternoon shift. St. James moved to New York working at WNEW-AM and later at WYNY-FM, but today, Bill’s best known in radio for his 25 years as the irreverent host of the syndicated Classic Rock show “Flashback,” one of the longest running series in radio history.
